Asbestos

If you are in the process of planning work in your home or in your commercial property, it might be a good time to consider the presence of asbestos? Construction work done between 1950 and 2000 are quite likely to contain some asbestos.

Asbestos is commonly found in textured or plastered ceilings and walls, vinyl floor coverings and linoleum tiles, cement sheets, and roof and wall cladding.

Initial Assessment

We will come around and assess your property for possible asbestos within the building structure.

Testing

We will take samples of building materials, where necessary, and send off for laboratory testing. Results are normally available within 2-4 working days.

Removal Plan
If asbestos is found on site we will devise a Contaminant Removal Plan to safely remove the asbestos and for how the building can be safely remediated while adhering to Worksafe New Zealand’s code of practice and the Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations 2016.
